Hey all
I got this great cookbook for easter instead of an easter egg! It's Tanya Carr 'Healthy Dairy Free Eating' published with Allergy UK and has 100 dairy free recipe ideas by a chef and a dietician, along with extra bits at the beginning with details about dairy allergies/lactose intolerance, dairy foods to avoid, alternatives, balanced diets, etc, then has recipes for breakfasts, salads and appetisers, soups, main courses and desserts.
It's a really good book, for anyone who's dairy free and into cooking and trying new things!

Ooo balanced diets - I should be good but it is so easy to errr eat too much chocolate and biscuits. I really must try harder to resist. Cooking is not really my thing - I like meals where you throw things in the oven or on the stove and they cook with no need for me to spend time standing over them.

I used to be lazy like that, I've only been an 'independent cook' for 2 years (only moved out 2 years ago) but now i'm getting quite into my cooking and healthy eating! :)

hey that sounds good....I love me cooking, and i like to try new things.....Sounds like a good buy.....
balanced diet. that just means that you don't spill the stuff on the lap tray doesn't it?:lol2:
or that the food in your left hand is balanced by the drink in the right.....
Jenna, when you have been cooking daily for a faddy family the novelty soon wears off. I have no enthusiasm for cooking at all these days. The "open the freezer and see what falls out" approach is far easier these days.
have to admit with me it's tinned meat or fish!
the healthy aspect is that i have frozen veg daily. hand full in the saucepan with the tinned potatoes....
all livened up with some parmezano!

Just how I feel!
I have the 'I wonder what's in date and not mouldy approach to cooking....'
Oh and if it takes longer than 15 minutes to make, then there's no point for me as I'm too tired to eat it :D
