Hmmm according to their web site they contain "Dried Whole Milk". No good to any of us here though - pity!

I've had them lots of times and seemed ok, I'm intolerent not allergic though. It doesn't list milk in the ingredients on the pack - but that doesn't surprise me.:(
I have sent them a message through their website asking if they do contain milk and if so why is it not listed on the ingredients on the packet. I'll let you know what they say.

Good thinking there Linny. I have spent far too long out in the garden - weeding, pruning etc. This is my feeble excuse as to why I didn't contact them.

:lol2: GOOD NEWS!!
Dear Linda,
Thank you for your enquiry. Historically the biscuit shell of our Party Rings did have milk powder in it - this was removed several years ago but the wrapper has never been updated.
The packaging - as it is new - is correct in the fact that there is no milk and therefore milk is not on the allergen box. (The website is currently being updated)
As milk is widely used to enrich biscuits we produce very few that are suitable for a lactose free diet; those that are suitable are listed below:
-
Original Thick Tea
Traditional Gingers
Ginger Crunch Crinkles
Party Rings (not vegetarian)
(Please note that all these products have been made in a factory which uses dairy ingredients.)
Should you require any further information please contact us.
Yours sincerely,
Jill Lister (Ms)
Consumer Care Administrator
How about that for service!

Excellent!!! I must try them sometime as a treat. A retirement celebration I think.
customer services that help!! whatever next?
Was this from Fox's biscuits? The factory is only a few miles from me and smells delicious. The summer berry crinkle crunch biscuits had no milk ingredients according to the packaging but they were supposedly a special edition.
My daughter will be happy that she can have party rings now.

Yes it was from Fox's biscuits. Oh Pam they may have a factory shop - cheap biscuits!!!!!:eat: I know they have a shop at a bakery in Herne Bay where we go on holiday.
My Dad worked in Bermondsey in London where the old Peak Frean's factory was and I can remember having the boxes of broken biscuits when we were kids.:lol2:
Yes, they have a factory shop but you have to be a member to go in and they only usually let organised groups have a card. My boss from work sometimes goes and got about 40 Rocky and similar choc biscuits for just over £1 last time she went. A lady at my church works in the offices and has the unfortunate task of having to taste test new biscuits!!! I used to know someone who worked on the packing line too.
Unfortunately the majority of fox's biscuits contain milk so I can't get excited about them (unless I'm going to be naughty and have a lapse).

Taste testing biscuits what a lovely job!
I'm munching on a party ring biscuit at the moment as they're half price in Asda it would have been a crime not to buy a packet or two:eat:

I loved Party Ring biscuits as a kid and can remember looking at them for mac but milk was listed so I never bought them, I have been shopping twice since linny put the reply from Foxes on but have forgot to get the party rings.
I seem to be set in ways when i shop. Once something makes its way onto my shopping list, it stays there for ages and it takes me just as long to add something new on to it.
Did that make sense to any of you out there?

In our Asda they're with the kid's biscuits i.e. pink panther wafers (also dairy free!) and iced gems etc.
I didn't think iced gems were dairy free, do Asda do their own version that don't have milk in? We have some pink panther wafers in at the moment.

Sorry, I just meant that the party rings are near the iced gems, they're not dairy free.

Think i seen these in asda but not tried em yet....Do they taste like icecream wafers??
much nicer than that if my memory serves me right!!:)
Pink and whites are proper ice cream wafers with marshmallow inside, very nice!
Pink panther wafer biscuits have a buttercream filling, most pink wafers are dairy free and lidl also do some vanilla ones which I think are ok.

Hi Bella .. yeah i think there both lactose free, i still got loads left only had a couple, trying to make em last.....
THey say 'lactose free'.... are they aware that there are other derivitives do you think? After Asdas little 'list problem' Im slightly distrustful when companies talk about lactose free and not milk free.
I think if they are milk free Ill be buying several packets just for me lol never mind if H can have them...I LOVE them!
a biscuit factory shop in herne bay? I was there on sunday! its a short drive there for me! Can you remember where it is please?
Not that I can eat biscuits right now lol but Haylie can..
I have just had a reply from foxes too saying the party rings are definately dairy and dairy derivitive free, so just off to get some for H now.
I heard the other day that the Fox's Biscuits factory in Batley is going to shut down in the near future (they still have other factories). This will be a huge blow to our area as they employ a lot of local people. I don't know the timescale or the reason why but it is very sad.

Mmmm yea i like the pink panther wafers too.....:)
Going on about biscuits again , does anyone know of any Jammie Dodgers that havent got any milk products in????
The ones i seen have whey powder in (right at the end), and you can get different flavours too....I used to have the odd ones without thinking what was in them....:(
i keep saying it. make your own.... really easy and fairly quick then can have whatever your favourite jam is in it......:D

Im still awaiting a shortbread supply?
I think Matt should go into production making all of these goodies for the rest of us, been as they are so quick and easy to do. I'm sure you could rattle a couple of trays of goodies out during the night whilst the rest of us are asleep. If you catch the early morning post we could all have them fresh the next day. :lol2:
yeah if you all sign a disclaimer against suing me if they get ill. not that you would but the legislation these days for making and selling food is stupid.
how much would you pay for them??:lol2:
this latest batch much nicer as used caster sugar instead of brown.
hard to send something to someone who never sends her address....

As far as I know Jammie Dodgers unfortunately contain milk.
The pink and white wafers (with the marshmallow in) are milk free, I'm quite sure anyway.:)
