hello,
I know cup od soups aren't the most healthy of things but if i am in a rush at lunch time and want something hot i used to (until last week) grad a cup of soup. Obiviously i am un able to eat dairy products and every single cup of soup in my cupboad contains milk protein. Are there any that don't

if not i will just have to organise my self better and make my own

sorry for such a basic question but i am new to this. I thought it would be quite easy cutting out dairy products as i didn't drink a lot of milk but no everything has some sort of milk product in it from medication to meat

Thanks
Clara

Unfortunately most convenience and snack foods contain milk, it seems to be very common in flavourings. I used to like 'pot mash' but they all have milk in, as do most pot noodles and most soups and sauces in general contain milk. You might be lucky with some clear soups rather than creamy ones and I'm told that some of the Heinz Big Soups are milk free. Many crisps and snacks are the same - even salt and vinegar crisps often use lactose to make the flavour stick and finding a suitable sandwich off the shelf is virtually impossible.

I used to love parsley sauce and I know that you make it with milk but I had hoped that the powder might be milk free - oh no! Colmans Fajita mix also contains milk and you wouldn't expect it there.

You will learn to be inventive and will become a more adventurous cook through necessity, it is easier in the long run because you know exactly what goes into everything.

Hi there Clara B,

There are some soups that are milk free for example weight watchers vegetable soup, which is nice, thick and dairy free. For cuppa soups I found 2 suitable ones in my local health food store, so I would definitely try there if you have one near you.

Trufree also do 2 pot snacks which are as follows:

Rice and Lentil
Potato and Vegetable

Both are really nice and tasty, so good luck.

Kind Regards,

Lan. :D
