Hi everyone,
We are going to Benalmadena at October half term and was wondering if anyone had been, lots of questions: what it's like, is there anywhere you would recommend for eating out etc. Also is there any dairy free things available in the supermarkets out there, indeed is there a decent supermarket there???
Also I know you can get various allergy translation cards from Allergy UK, I'm sure I have seen somewhere where you can get them that are tailor made and will list several allergens on the one card. As ZAc has problems with dairy, wheat and possibly soya, I could really do with this or it will cost me a fortune for the allergy uk ones!

Hi Lou

Iv been a couple of times. Its getting quite built up, its just around the corner from Torremolinos, and there are quite a lot of shops/supermarkets. Plenty of places to eat, nice places by the harbour area, and try this site for free translation http://www.freetranslation.com/ just type in what you want to say. I wrote a mesage saying my daughter is allergic to milk and all derivitives, and added a full list of it all, to take to Menorca in June and it worked perfectly. I took a seperate case full of frozen 'pure' and frozen bread and ham and heinz tom sauce and cake and biscuits....and 6 cartons of rice milk. Quite a lot of airlines will allow you extra baggage if you provide a letter from your gp so worth calling them and asking what their policy is. And then you have an empty suitcase for all the presents! lol
Hope that helped
Yvonne
