I have been dairy free for 1 whole week. If some one had told me a month ago i would feel better be able to concentrate for longer by simply going dairy free i would have thought then nuts.

But i honestly feel like a new person in only a week.

The only down side is i went shopping last night my goodness a task which normally takes 30 mins tops took 2 hours checking the ingrediants on everything i suppose the bright side is a least i got 2x as much fruit and veg since i know i can eat that (not citrus through cann't have that either)

I've just discovered that I have a problem with citrus fruits as well, and I think Lan does too. On friday I was really craving fresh orange juice and drank about 2 litres in as many days but kept itching. This morning I had a particularly tangy satsuma and I was itching within seconds, my legs were tingling and my face started burning. Something else to cut out of my diet! I think I will need to try a bar or two of Maya Gold to see if the orange oil in that affects me! At this rate I am going to be joining Lan in her exclusion diet.

It makes all the sacrifices worth while when you know that it really makes a difference doesn't it?

I can't eat Citrus either, I have(hopefully had soon) quite bad exzema so I sent off a hair sample to one of those labs that test for allergies..the results showed that I was having a reaction to all milk products citrus friut and some cleaning products. I've since had the milk intolernace conformed by the Dr. But what I find is that if my skin is a little bit inflamed any alcohol. citrus, garlic or onions make it much more itchy and red. Apparently these food cause an increase in heat in the body, that's according to chinese herbalism....Yes Ive tried then all!!!!. I can tolerate some of these banned foods when my skin is clear..it's a constant juggling game though.

Good luck

Hi all,

I also can't eat citrus fruits and it's the oranges with me as well. The last time I ate them my eye became swollen and I was violently sick.

No rest for the wicked, I guess.
