Tesco Free From

Tesco have now started doing there own free from range :) which includes dairy free bakewell tarts, chocolate cake bars, and fruit cake. The Mince Pies say they are gluten free but I couldn't see any milk products on the ingredients list. I bought some of the bakewell tarts and they were yummy. :bleh: Will have to try some of the other products as a treat at Christmas they aren't cheap (as usual) 4 Mince Pies were £1.99. :thumbsdown: (I suppose I ought to bake my own)

oooooooohh i love bakewell tarts!!!! gonna have to try a bigger store than i usually use of tesco then as my usual branch don't seem to do these.

sis in law works at tesco, and she says that tesco have to stock by customer demand, so if you know that you used to get a product there that they no longer stock, if you ask for it each time you go in, they will get the message and restock it! same goes for a product with a blue dot on the price label - it means that its no longer going to be stocked ;)

tesco were the only supermarket that answered my email.. when i first went vegan, i contacted sainsburys, tesco and asda and asked for a complete list of suitable vegan foods and they sent me one free of charge within the week, it's only a printout, but it had all the information that i needed especially during the first few scarey weeks! they update it every september, i really must get around to digging out the number and ringing them for an up to date one >.<

Hmmm well I wouldn't hold my breath waiting!!! We have asked for frozen chickens to be stocked since Xmas. Three weeks ago the lady in charge said "I know what it is we have not ordered any since Xmas". I had already worked that one out! Last week they actually had some in - well - out the back. We had to roam around the store to find somebody to help.

I have gone off Tescos - have I mentioned that before?!
