Just come across something interesting on a jar of Morrisons Pickled Red Cabbage, apparently it contains Milk. :bash:
Ingredients: Red Cabbage, Water, Malt Vinegar, Salt, Lactic Acid, Preservative (E223), Flavouring.
Under the Allergy advice it contains: Gluten, Milk, Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Sulphite.
I presume the milk comes from the lactic acid? Are any E numbers derived from Milk products? Why should they want to put milk in red cabbage anyway? or are they just covering there backs as it may have been produced on a line where milk products have also been?
