Hello all,

My son has a Starlight wish from the charity to go to PortAventura spain in a couple of weeks and I need to know how to say a few things in spanish.

Ben is Milk, soya and wheat allergic so I need to know how to ask ie, " could you check for me that this does not contain milk, wheat or soya" or " could you check the container that the chips dont have flour on them" I am taking loads of stuff with us and hope that if we stick to the proper resturants and keep it simple we will be ok.

Wont go into too much detail but was hoping one of you were fluent and could give me a hand.

Many thanks

Cheryl

Try using the above link - somebody on here recommeded it and I used it for my recent holiday to Spain and printed off some cards with the translation that I used for all the same foods. I used it in one restaurant and it seemed great - the rest of the time I asked in Spanish.

Milk is not used in many dishes. and I dont think Soya is either.

My daughter is intolerant to wheat and milk and we were in Barcelona for ten days last month. I have a list of wheat and milk ingredients in Spanish - we went self-catering - if you are interested in it let me know. other wise you need something like: alérgica al trigo, a la leche y a la soja which means: alergic to wheat (trigo), milk (leche) and soya (soja). my spoken Spanish is not that great but I think that is pronounced: alergica al trejo, a la leCHAY ee a la soya

PortAventura is quite an establish resort though so I would think you will find a lot of the staff there speak English. english was certainly commonly spoken in Barcelon which I think is about an hour away from PortAventura.

Hope this helps
