McDonalds don't like to put such helpful info on their web site :( You might have to go in and ask but then would you trust the answer? I hope somebody else here knows the answer.

NO! they're not dairy free any more, it's on their website at:
http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/resources/img/sections/eatsmart/Nutrition.pdf
It's also listed on the back of the paper thingy they put on the tray. I think fish fingers are fine and a fillet of fish in a bun BUT WITHOUT the sauces. I usually put tomato ketchup on mine!!
PS you can make the list a lot bigger by using the magnifier thing on the tool bar. It's on page 6 if you get lost!!

Not sure i could depend on the staff to help, takes them all their time to get the order right..... i def try to stay clear of those places, and go for the resturants, Most chefs and staff are happy to help.

I know but with Liam being 7 next week it is difficult. It isn't like we are there every week but occasionly it was a treat. We will just have to see if he will like fish fingers as he doesn't like burgers. This is going to take some getting used to.

The McDs near us dont have fish fingers. Mac loved the nuggets but they do still contain dairy.
The bacon, sausage, hash browns and bacon slice are ok, (always check again). And

Ops!! My computer skills havent improved much.
And vegetable deluxe patty is dairy free.
Burger king have quite a lot of chicken things that are dairy free.
Chicken Royale, Chicken Whopper, Junior chiken patty, chicken wings, chicken bites, chicken strips and chicken mini supreme.
We havent been for a while so double check if you ever go.

The last time I went to BK the chicken royale and the chicken whopper had milk added to them, I was annoyed as I used to enjoy them. Their nutrition page on their website doesn't seem to have had anything on it for ages.:(

I suppose I could ring them?

I know its his birthday coming up, cant you try taking im to a pub/ resturant and phone ahead for the kids menu, know it's not the same thing, but it might be better than having him eat dairy.
Fmgreig - How intolerant is Liam? As you have only just discovered that this is the problem I would suggest that you cut out the major things first like milk, cheese, ice cream and yoghurt and see how he gets on. If he improves alot he may still be able to have his treats, without going totally dairy free?

Only just discovered Liam is intollerant so we don't know how intollerant he is.His party was yesterday even although his bierthday isn't untill tomorrow.
We had a birthday party for him stewart refed the match and i got mcdonalds for all the kids (15). We started going dairy free today, we have been told he has had it since birth so we took the resoning that 1 more week wasn't going to make much difference but we have been slowly introducing the soya products which has worked he is now familiar with them and he knows the reason why. Hopefully he will be feeling better soon. Sally at the INPP reconned we should get him to a specalist to see about him vit and mineral levels and to see how intollerant does any one know how to go about this as my dr's reaction was i was clutching at straws but I have asked his teacher to write me a letter for him to explain why we went to the INPP so we will see.Any advice welcome thanks:unsure:
Can i ask what INPP is? I think the only way to find out Liams intolerance levels is by trial and error. But just be aware that a reaction can sometimes take a couple of days to have an effect. On vitamins and minerals, if he eats plenty of fruit and veg I think he should be ok. Don't think this has ever been an issue we have discussed.

The INPP is the Institute for Neuro-physiological psychology and they are based in Chester.Liam's teacher recommended we contact them and this is where we have ended up. They picked up that Liam mught be milk intollerant because he was so constapated from birth and that he was so sick as well, also because I was so sick through pregancy they think that Liam might be vitamin diffecent so we had a hair test done it came back that he was down in calcium magnesium seleium and zinc. he will have been this way since birth and his body thinks that this is normal. Dr thinks the test is sus so this is why we are not knowing which way to turn.
First day dairy free went fine he coped with soya milk a soya yoghurt a couple od squares of dairy free chocolate and a soya chocolate milkshake he didn't reject any thing so here goes for tomorrow

2nd day has gone fine. Liam doesn't like innocent smoothies but i think that is more the texture rather than the taste. He doesn't sweem to be missing anything so far but it is early days.He has had a lovely birthday which is the main thing. His Aunt is taking him to the cinema and then on to eat sometime next week does anyone know if Frankie and Benny's food is ok? She knows to avoid dairy but wants me to find somewhere for them to eat, Thanks
here's their website you could email them on the contacts page.. hope that helps http://www.frankieandbennys.com/index.asp

Well that was a bit of a shock, mind you i never trust that places that cant tell you what half their stuff is made with, so i avoid them at all costs.

Not been in McDonalds for years, doesn't surprise me about the fries alert. Read "Fast Food Nation" a couple of years ago and it put me off going into McDonalds.

I think with Macdonalds the ingredients vary from country to country,so what applies in America won't necessarily be the same here. The allergy info is on the back of the paper mats they use on the trays....ZAc has had the fries and the hash browns with no adverse effects.
