Tesco cakes

I am too busy to make cakes this week so I looked at Tesco cakes today. In the past I have bought their Angel cake and jam tarts as they were milk free. Now everything has milk in it. The only thing I found that was dairy free was a marble madeira cake.

Be careful out there things have changed.

Marble Madira Cake sounds yummy, .... let me guess it has egg!, may have a try though see how i get on.

You are correct it contains egg.

Pretty much all shop bought cakes seem to contain egg, apart from those Mrs Crimble loaf things.

if it involves a cake that has risen then i think you can assume it'll always have an egg.

mrs crimbles tend to be more cookie like and they don't always need one but they can do so check.

The asda's lemon cakes are ok, no milk in those either(Forget which ones cos some have got milk in)...Mmmm i love jam and lemon tarts...

I must have a walk to the Asda up the road. It is only small but it does have Kinnerton chocolate. I am going to make a cake tomorrow - we need a halo smilie.

hurrah, another cake maker!! think i will have to try to make a wheat and dairy free one for myself again sometime this week. making all these cakes that i can't eat has really started to bug me as i keep wanting a bite!!!

PA is coming home in four weeks so I will be busy baking biscuits and cakes all wheat, gluten, vanilla, dairy and egg free. I don't like cooking but I have always enjoyed making cakes. Hmm I must get her order so I can buy the ingredients.
