A bit pricey but the food is worth it. They can cope with coeliacs and dairy free.

Met up with owner of these resturants at the weekend, and discussed how sometimes it can be hard to eat out due to being dairyfree,

He has agreed that anyone who has intolerance no matter what they are, phone the resturant in advace to chat to the chef, and he will prepare a menue to comply with our need, how good is he.

I said i would pass this on to the site and i know is a bit far for some of you lot, but if your every in the areas, pop in

i have not been but have made a promise to do this before the end of the month

excellent news, always good when a resturant is good like that. it's a good practice to phone ahead anyway and you'll often be suprised at how good the response is. :)

not for eating a meal, but for grabbing lunch for work....all products clearly labelled with allergens and normally 2-3 possible choices too. Menu changes regularly.

I'm eating chicken noodle soup and a side salad today, and the other day I had a wrap and fruit salad that were both dairy free.

I thought I'd mention it on this thread too. I am going to The bear Cross inn in Bournemouth, Dorset and they cater for coeliacs and in advance dairy free too. Also Wagamammas chain have dairy free and gluten free on the menu and they will adapt most of their meals to be so when you go in! No booking is allowed at Wagamammas!

Marks and Spencers have very good allergy advice on their sandwiches and salads for lunchtime. Also in Boots there is a meal deal and a pretty good selection of sandwiches, a few of which are dairy free.
Nero's (Coffeeshop), I can eat the carrot cake, and their chicken salad sandwich, both very good and dairy free too!

Rogerthorpe Manor (Best Western Hotel )near Pontefract.

Last night i went along as part of the entertainment with a group of fellow Scottish Country Dancers for a Burns night supper fully expecting to eat nothing (as I had not been able to inform them in advance) but when I said I could not eat the soup to start they asked what were my dietary requirements and rose to the challenge: Melon, Gin sorbet (instead of haggis), Grilled chicken instead of stuffed chicken and no sauces on the veg and to finish strawberries, which I think was wonderful especially as they had had no warning from me but another lady with us is a coeliac and had rung in advance.
