We've been using Lactofree instead of soya or any other milks (We've yet to find one we can stand:() I don't know if it's suitable for everyone as it has a tiny amount of lactose in it (0.05%) but have had no problems yet with the 3 year old , it doesn't do anything alarming when you cook with it or put it in hot drinks and is quite easy to get used to taste wise (slight UHT taste but not nearly as bad as normal UHT) so it gets the thumbs up from us!

It is good for people with a milk lactose intolerance but wouldn't be good for people with a major allergy or those who have a problem with milk proteins. If it works for you then stick with it. I think there is one called Lactolite too which Copper uses (I think it is Copper).

Lactolite has been given a new name - can't remember it though. I used to have a small amount of Lactolite in my coffee. In a post here I mentioned that I was not feeling 100% and cnc pointed out that maybe it was the Lactolite. I stopped using Lactolite and now use fresh soya milk. I feel much better so I guess my lactose tolerance has gone down to zero now.

That's what lactofree is copper - the replacement for lactolite , they've managed to wring nearly all the lactose out of it , we seem to be doing alright at the moment

I started using lacto free about 2 months ago and I never buy anything else now. I have tried soya and rice milk but I must admit I prefer the lacto free brand.
