I have been looking for recipe for chilli as I used to use packet mix but can't anymore because of milk content. Any recipes out there?

This is mine:

1 large onion
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 lb minced beef
1tsp chilli powder
1 x 14oz can tomatoes
1/4 pint beef stock (i use oxo cube)
1 tsp sugar (i never put this in though)
2 tblsp tomato puree (i don't measure it i just squeeze it in the pan)
Black pepper
1 x 15oz can Red Kidney Beans

Fry chopped onion & garlic. Add beef & chilli powder, fry till brown. Stir in chopped tomatoes, stock, sugar, pepper & tomato puree. Bring to boil & simmer for 30mins. Add drained kidney beans 5mins before end of cooking. Serve with boiled rice.

Hi Can anyone tell me if you need to put milk powder into a bread recipe to be used in a new bread-making machine. Just got it for Christmas and shock , horror it has milk in most of recipes. Can you miss it out ?

I used to add soya milk powder to my bread. Recently I have made my bread without the soya milk powder and I can't taste the difference. This is good as I have now become intolerant to soya :(

I vaguely remember someone saying they used oil instead. If you do a search there's probably something there.

I am sure you can miss it out, certainly will not break the machine. I dont use a bread machine but would normally put olive oil in home made bread.

My bread maker recipes use marg and milk powder. My mother's bread maker recipes use oil and milk powder.

I use dairy free marg and used to use soya milk powder. The bread is very yummy if I follow the recipe but omit the milk powder.

A small health food shop. If you can't find it perhaps they could order some in for you.

Ecomil instant soya 400g tub and costs about £7

i am now on my 3rd home made loaf of bread, yum. But have another challenge for you guys. I miss my chocolate lots but not tempted to gobble any. Have discovered that Tesco finest do coconut ice sweets which appears dairy free but wonder if anyone has a recipe for dairy free coconut ice ?

If you google 'Vegan coconut ice' you should get some recipes, some of them are for coconut ice cream, so it takes a bit of digging but there did seem to be some around.

I had a look at some ready made stuff and they used: "Sugar, glucose syrup, coconut, natural red colouring", so if you know the theory then you should be OK.
