Hello All,

I have spoken to Steve and he has kindly agreed to let me come on this forum and ask you guys for some feedback and opinions on a website I am working on at the moment http://www.lactofree.co.uk/

We know through talking to people that sufferers often feel that their symptoms are treated dismissively by health care professionals and left without proper guidance and advice.

The Lactofree website aims to inform and create awareness around lactose intolerance issues and keep people up to date with the latest developments in the area. On the website we have helpful articles explaining what lactose intolerance is, the symptoms, diagnosis and how the condition can be managed.

I would be very interested to hear your thoughts and opinions on the subject and relay any feedback you have back to the site, as they want to connect directly with the online community and not just talk at them.

Thanks in advance

My first problem with the site is that I can't see any of it. I use accessibility options, and can only see a few links on the left hand side and none of the links at the top of the page (They really need at the very least some alt-text adding to them).
As a result I can't comment on the rest of the site as I can't see it, however, it is good to see that intolerances are finally been taken seriously (I'm allergic to milk with secondary lactose intolerance).

I have had a quick look at all of the pages on the site.

I have a problem reading the Symptoms section on the "What is lactose intolerance?" page. The last line of words vanishes behind the next section "Diagnosis".

I have a problem on the "What is Lactofree?" page. Near the bottom of the page I can read this -

LACTOFREE comes in two varieties
? ? OFREE Fresh etc

? ? is one word on top of another so I can't read them.

I do like the diet. It would be interesting to see if anybody could face trying it to find how much lactose they can tolerate.

I used to use Lactofree but I am now totally lactose intolerant and even that tiny amount in Lactofree makes me ill. I get the same response with ordinary margarine on one bread roll!!

My comment is that I think the writing is too small in places, I couldn't be bothered to read it at this moment in time, would be more liable to do so if it was a little larger. Idea is excellent though.

Thank you all for your comments, some very valid questions raised.

I will make sure these are passed onto Lactofree.
