View Full Version : Any ideas?
Well heres my story..from the age of 10 i had light eczema and since about the age of 15 it started to get very bad affecting my face folds of arms and neck..and i mostly controlled it through eumovate and other similar creams. (however just for the record..every time i went to italy to stay with family for about a month it would completely clear or dramatically improve) At around december i decided to try a different sort of treatment since id tried just about everything.. http://www.energymedic.co.uk/aboutus.html (il let you guys have a read through) and well incredibly it identified my food intolerances: lactose intolerant, yeast, wheat being the 3 main one and my face has totally cleared and ive noticed general improvement..however one thing that has appeared around the turn of the year is a rash across my stomach its light red, slightly risen in parts however its not eczema and i do not have the urge to itch it..it only has a slight tingly feeling. So i was wondering...could it be maybe another food intolerance ive developed through changing my diet? or something else? any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Hmm tricky question. Intolerances don't normally give you rashes and or swellings eg hives. This could be a sign of an allergy to something rather than an intolerance.
Are you sure that you have removed all dairy from your diet? Beware the hidden dairy in foods
I tried hard not to replace all dairy with soya and yet I have developed an intolerance to soya now. All of my intolerances (I have a few - sigh) give me bloating and make me feel sick. I then spend some time on the toilet.
I double check everything I buy in the supermarket.

What was your diet when you were in Italy. Could it actually have been sunshine which helped?
Have you gone the the GP with the rash on your stomach? I would they may at least rule some things out. Sounds like urticaria type rash but people sometimes get post viral rashes too.
Have you changed wash powders or shower gels? are you wearing a belt that may be causing this?
Just some ideas other than food/drink that may be worth considering as well

Yeh i believe it was largely due to the sun..but also the food is better over there (less stuff added)
Well...ive been to see 2 and they basically said that its an allergy. I changed my soap a few weeks ago to one with no perfume etc and its improved. Also i changed wash powders to one called bio care. But its still not cleared up...however today in the post i received some pure non dyed cotton underwear and already im not feeling hardly any tingling...so hopefully this could help resolve it.
Seems like you've had some good advice there. Hope the cotton underwear sorts out the rash.
