The Great British Menu is shown on BBC2 at 6.30 pm each week night. One of the chefs - Chris Horridge -who is cooking this week, cooks all of his dishes without any dairy products. Last night he used soya milk and refered to lactose intolerance. I'm really interested to see what pudding he will do, and also to what the judges think to his dairy free cooking when he will prepare all his dishes again on Friday.:)

Chris Horridge won his round in the Great British Menu so will be cooking again in the next round. Its so good to see that somebody in the professional cooking world acknowledges the need for dairy and lactose free menus.

Also - on Come Dine with Me this week was a vegan guy so a couple of the dishes on that were dairy free. Alpro Soya Milk has been shown on TV a couple of times this week.

Hi all.

Been away for quite some time it seems. Been up to my eyes in college work . Back now though and missed you all.

Hope that this post finds you all in good health etc. I am certainly the healthiest I have ever been, extra tyres and all!!! LOL

Putting in for dietetics this September and cannot wait. So excited to get to Uni and study for something that I know will help others. Need to pass chemistry first though as resitting in August. The exam totally flumaxed me!:lol2::lol2:

Anyway, off now to finish my 20 minute presentation on food aversions/intolerances and my 3,000 word chemistry essay.

Look forward to chatting to you all and catching up.

Love,

Lan

Welcome back Lan. My job involves Chemistry, and the subject still baffles me after 20 years.

I know what you mean.

I have pulled most of my hair out as well and my nails are bitten to the quick.

Nice to be back. Missed my chats and posts. Unfortunately, just not had time. Have loads now though!!!

Have to say as well on a general note, would highly recommend the new Sex in the City film and Indiana Jones. Seen both and they rock.

Chow for now,

Lan :lol2::lol2::lol2:

P.S. thanks to all who helped with the research project and am handing it in next week, plus completing my 20 minute presentation. Cannot wait to see the back of it. Rock and roll!!!! :D:D:D
