I thought that I would treat myself to a packet of Tesco Fairtrade double chocolate chip cookies. They did not contain dairy last time I had them. I checked the packet and dairy is not listed in the ingredients BUT there is now a small circular sticker on the front of the packet which says

"The plain chocolate in this product may contain milk"

I decided to risk it and bought them anyway. They certainly do not contain lactose in any shape or form as I am fine and I have eaten the whole packet, not at once I hasten to add.

Nearly everything says it may contain milk these days. I think basically if it's made in a factory that has milk products around then they write that to cover themselves.

There are some newish Fairtrade cookies out as well that my Mum got from Morrisons, the ginger ones and the double choc are both dairy free and quite yummy (well the choc ones are, and my Dad ate a lot of the ginger ones in one sitting!!).
