Hi, I'm a student doing food GCSE and I've chosen lactose intolerance to study. Please could you spend a few minutes to do my questionnaire, it would help loads. If you chose other please state what it is and you can have as many answers as you like for 3 and 7 but only one for the others please. 1. How old are you?
Under 10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-60, 60+
2. How long have you been lactose intolerant?
All life, Over 10 years, A few years, A few months, Less than a month
3. Are there some foods which you are able to have that contain small amounts of dairy?
No, Butter, Margarine, Aged Cheeses, Fermented Milks e.g. Yoghurt,
Other
4. Are you aware of novel food products/alternatives available for a dairy free diet?
Yes, No
If you answered no, then novels foods are foods designed to be dairy free such as ice creams, milks and yogurts. Alternatives could be things like rice milk which are not designed to be dairy free but are a good substitute for dairy foods.
5. Do/would you eat them as part of your diet?
Yes, No
6. If yes, how often?
More than once a day, Once a day, Every few days, Once a week, Rarely
7. If you answered no to question 5, why not?
Taste, Texture, Appearance, Not like the real thing, Additives,
