Blood Tests..

Hi..I went for my galactosaemic blood test last week(Tues)...They test me for any traces of lactose in the blood, cos i havent been for about four years..When i was younger i had to go every 12 months to get tested..Hopefully they ok, cos im good with the lactose free diet..Any one else go for blood tests regularly..

Hi. Both my kids have Galactosaemia and still have tests every one to two years. Always OK, especially if you keep on top of diet. The hardest part (for me !!!) is actually taking the blood, but they are always so brave. Good luck. Lee

To get my boys to have blood tests and injections I offer them books. They really appreciate the treat and I feel better about it than bribing them with sweets or money.

I went for a blood test for my thryroid an hour ago. So i'm sat here with a plaster on my arm. Normally I go once a year but I had to have my dose of thyroxine increased so this was my 6 week check up to see if it has worked.

I hope it went ok.
I have other problems and the first port of call is always more blood tests, if anything changes- they took 12 sets from me once, the poor nurse was struggling to get enough blood from me!!

Hi..sorry not replied back...Had blood test results and all's ok...Im keeping to my dairyfree diet and just check the ingredients in the food i get , cos they do change them..I will try and go get checked again next year now...:)
