I have just discovered an unofficial Jewish deli just five minutes walk from my work. They sell tofutti ice cream and this brand

Alpine Premium Range. They have several flavours but I have only tried the mint choc chip. It comes in a 1 litre tub and cost me £3.99 It is parve which means does not contain any dairy product. It has soya and eggs.

It is produced by Alpine Frozen Desserts Ltd., Unit 3, The Stonebridge Centre, Rangemoor Road, London N15 4LP
Tel 020 8493 0800

I am spoilt for choice now. They also have Tofutti cheese slices :)

Swedish Glace frozen desert is very nice too, is dairy free and is available in many supermarkets (comes in a black octagonal tub and is in about 4 flavours but mostly only available in vanilla).

Hi all,

Have to agree that Swedish Glaze ice-cream is fantastic. The flavours I have seen are:

Raspberry
Strawberry
Vanilla
Chocolate

Trust me when I say they taste like the real thing, but much better.

I agree they are yummy. Tesco down here in the south only sell vanilla and sometimes they have chocolate. Holland and Barratt have all of them.

I like the vanilla and love the strawberry. The chocolate was not that nice and raspberry flavouring does not agree with me.

I adore my mint and choc chip ice cream, sadly so does my daughter who is not dairy free.

Ho Copper,

My mother who is not dairy free used to love soft cheese and at £2.49 a tub, I was very unwilling to share as well.
