Hi i am new just thought i'd say hello..
I am dairy free because dairy tends to make me sick. mostly milk and yoghurt.
I never used to be as bad and i never noticed it was affecting me i just used to get indigestion a LOT and feel ill after drinking milk, but then i stopped drinking milk because i read on the internet about it containing cow pus and stuff, and i felt a lot better, and didnt get indigestion as much.. now i find if i do drink milk it makes me feel sick..
i had some yoghurt without thinking when i was ill anyway and it made me sick too..

Strangly i can still eat cheese, i get slight indigestion but its not bad at all, however i would like to cut out cheese altogether but i am waiting til i find a replacement that doesnt taste foul..

Ive tried some dairy free chocolate but it never tastes as good and mostly only comes in plain chocolate style which i dont like as much as milk chocolate, so i'm still eating that but in very small amounts..

If anyone can give me the names of some good tasting dairy free cheeses and/or chocolate i would be very grateful.
oh and easter eggs...

Thanks for your time..

Lauren.

Wecome to the site.

I have replied to your other post about Scheese.

I like plain chocolate but not the really bitter stuff. If you like Galaxy then you will like Swiss Organica chocolate. It is made with rice milk and tastes like Galaxy to me. I think it has a blue wrapper. There are other Organica chocolates so be careful as one of them is plain and a bit bitter.

D you have a Waitrose supermarket near you? They sell Isis Luxury Belgian Pralinoir chocolate. It is dark chocolate with crispy hazelnut praline. It is not bitter and I have to seriously fight hard not to eat the whole bar at once :) It does contain soya lecithin and as I amnow intolerant to soya that makes sure I ration myself.

Hi, from personal experience I would recommend that if you can still tolerate a bit of cheese and chocolate without being ill then I would carry on having it. I gave everything up and can not tolerate the smallest amount now. I didn't like plain chocolate to start with but I have become used to it - needs must. (What is life without chocolate!:lol2:) Haven't managed to like the 70% stuff though - that is too much for my liking. The only dairy free easter eggs I have seen this year are Kinnerton and Green & Blacks with Bars of Ginger and Cherry Dark Chocolate.

Sainsbury's have a "free from" Easter egg too, costs £3.99 I think. No idea what it tastes like as I'm waiting for the big day to try it! :lol2:
