Hi all,

I don't know if this is true but a friend of mine told me that Mr Creamy has started selling dairy free ice cream in their vans. Apparently the last time she had an ice cream she spotted a sign in the window of the van, saying dairy free ice cream for sale in chocolate and strawberry flavours.

Has anyone experienced this yet, or have you heard the same? Please let us now if you have.

I'll watch out for those, we usually end up having plain ice lollies from the ice cream vans and most ice cream parlours only sell ice cream with no alternatives.

Thumbs up to Beacon Farm ice cream parlour (just outside Whitby, N Yorks) who do some beautiful sorbets - but you have to ask for them as they don't usually have them on display. I wish more people thought about making alternatives.

Some health food shops sell dairy free choc ices but I can't remember who makes them.
