Hi everyone
I emailed ASDA about their dairy free products, and they emaild me back with all of their products that are supposed to be dairy free.
It is to long to post here, but I'm happy to send it to anyone who would like it over a private message.

I got a list from Tesco once and was surprised at the number of pages. When I looked closely I found a number of pages of fresh fruit and vegetables!!!!
I am never happy when I read a label which says "may contain milk". I have lactose intolerance so it would not affect me. If I was allergic I would probably not risk it and so a whole load of foods would be crossed off my list. I think that this is just a note so we don't sue the company grrrr.

I think you have a valid point there. :) lol
Sounds similar to the list I got from ASDA.

Welcome to the site Tinker.
I have removed your email address from your message and sent you a private message (pm). Sadly spammers trawl the internet and when they find an email address they bombard it with spam

When something states that it may have traces of milk and gluten, I avoid it like the plague!
I am not so sure about the milk side of things but with gluten, it can sometimes have as much gluten in it, as something that contains gluten normally!
I don't think these places care enough, especially the big stores, as long as they have a small section of something you can have they think that will be fine!
I have lived in small villages before this and I bought my veg from the veg shop, locally sourced, meat from the butchers, locally sourced and everything else form the small health food shop! He went out of his way to get products that I would like and his other customers then started to enjoy! I feel that the bigger places don't need my custom, someone will always buy from them!
I spent less money when I didn't shop at supermarkets but now I live in Poole it is difficult to find the personal touch!
However on the radio there is a farmshop that now does home delivery ordered over the internet......will certainly be buying from there, veg is fresher, tastes nicer, costs no more (if not sometimes less!), I eat with the seasons and feel much healthier without those traces of milk!
I do however need to traipse to Tescos every month to get the Genius bread, hoping that the farmshop will get that in too!!!!!

The health food shop shop in Dunyeats Rd, Broadstone will order things in if their wholesaler can get it.
The health food shop in the Dolphin Centre used to order things in for me too. I have not been in to Poole for months so I assume they are still there :lol2: They are in the upper floor more or less opposite Fabric Land.
