Hi again
Did you know that, if you have an allergy to dairy products that you maybe entitled to Disability Living Allowance?. This does not affect your right to work or any benefit you are on. IT is a non means tested benefit.
I found this out by applying as my son who I mentioned earlier has an ALLERGY, (not sure about intolerence) was very ill (Pneumonia for 5mths) caused by dairy allergy and attended DR's and out patient hospital appointments he developed asthma as a result of pneumonia and ingestion of dairy foods. At one point he was on 4 inhalers 4 times a day. As a result of his dairy free diet and constant supervision around foods and required medication, I apllied for Disability Living Allowance and low and behold got it, which I honestly did not think I would get on behalf of my son. It is not a huge amount (£60.00) but covers the cost of the very expensive soya products. I don't know what an adults entitlement might be, but any parents when allergic children give it a shot it is worth a try.
Good luck
