Hello! I'm new, and I just wanted to share my story. :) I've had a dairy allergy since I was born, (I'm 14) so I've never tasted milk in my whole life! (Only when I was a baby, and I was getting rashes and stuff, and my mum took me to the doctors, and we found out what was wrong). When I was younger I used to hate the fact I couldn't have dairy, and I hated watching other people eat what ever they wanted but now my view has totally changed. I grew out of my egg allergy years ago, and I realised that I'm quite glad to have dairy out of my life. It's quite a healthy diet to be honest! Also restaurants and stores have definitely improved and come a long way to help cater for allergies, which is lovely to see :). When I tell people I have a dairy allergy, they are always like "that's well bad, how do you cope". But it's soooo easy! At least I don't scoff my face with chocolate and rubbish. Anyway, being dairy free is cool beans! woooo!

Welcome to the site.

I am dairy free due to lactose intolerance but still manage to stuff myself with chocolate  Actually I usually eat small amounts of chocolate as I have a soya intolerance as well.

Don't worry Kate, I knew you were joking.

We have talked a lot about chocolate and ice cream on this forum. We have to have these fixes now and again. Some of us have many intolerances (I am one of them) and life gets hard sometimes.

When I go to the garden centre with a friend we do lunch and I always end up with a plate of chips and a cup of weak black coffee  They can't cope with the concept of dairy free in their snacks, which is what I really would like to eat.
