sorbitol anyone?

daughter is lactose intolerant she also has problems with too much fructose. have been using lots of teething gel last few weeks as she has been teething badly. it contains a lot of sorbitol which i think is causing pain and tantrums. anyone know anything about it?

The main thing I know about sorbitol is that it can cause a laxative effect, in high doses, so it could be hurting her stomach if it's making things move too quickly through her if that makes sense?
