just bought a brliiant book. probably old news to all you experts but will give you the name just in case. got it form 'allergy best buys' website. called 'the complete guide to food allergy and intolerance' (4th edition)

its quite scientific which is good. made me realise that i am not going mad and some symptoms are in fact food related even though gp and dietician were like "oh? really? unusual? maybe i suppose? um yeah? blah blah blah??"

example: bedwetting in a vey mature anmd sensible 3 year old. i knew it was linked to when somethign wrong was eaten, noone believed me but its in this book!!

Bedwetting my L is a terrible bed-wetter but her's isn't down to allergics anymore it is down to her being ADD. Even though she is a sleep and goes into rem sleep her mind is still on the go and doesn't get the rest the brain would normally get in a none-ADD child. We are lucky if we have 3 dry nights a month which is horrid as she i sknow 5. Hopefully in March we will finally get a referal done to get her assessed for help with the ADD and also refered to a specialist about the bed-wetting. We had to remove her bed-time pants (Trainer pants) as our Ped said these are a bad idea and cna make bed-wetting more of an issue even though it does mean we wouldn't have to wake her in the to change her bedding and night-wear.

surely 5 isn't too old for night time pull ups? i read children with food allergies may wet the bed till they are 10 because it stimulates the muscles. trying not to think about it.
