just a quickie, was in the sainsbury's lordshill store and they had this for sale. it had a label on saying try for free.

always one for a bargain. go get one and they'll give you back your money if you send them a proof of purchase through the post.

wish more people did this as our lifestyle can be damn expensive as we all know.

:D Hi All, I found the same at the Dartford Sainsburys. It was my first try of the ice cream and it is delicious!! My 7 year old daughter wants to eat it but she's not on a dairy free diet!! I have emailed the company as they have a 'cheese'spread but I cannot find it. I've asked them if they can let me know who stocks it. Has anyone been able to get any yet, if so where??
Thanks, Lin

The cheese spread is called 'Swedish' and is available at my local Asda (its about the only dairy free thing they do sell!). It comes in a shallow rectangular tub and looks a bit like philadelphia. I haven't tried it yet but found it last week and noticed it was made by Winner. Let us know what its like if you buy some.

Not on posting often but have to defend Asda.

We got a dairy free product list from them and they have shelf and freezer loads of products.

Our 2 and 1/2 year old has been dairy free since January 2003 and Asda was the quickest of the superstores to send back a dairy free list.

With 2Adults 2 teenagers that eat like adults, a 11 yo, the 2yo and my own 2 at weekends, yes 8 of us then, Asda is the place we shop.

The list has enabled us to feed everyone the same and not worry about the little one get milky products.

Swedeish Glace in vanilla strawberry and choclate.

Compare price of this with a cornetto from a lolly freezer sold individually its not that expensive

:( Pam, and anyone else that likes or is hoping to try Swedish Soft 'cheese'.
I emailed the co. that make Swedish Soft and Swedish Glace about stockists of Swedish Soft. They emailed back to say:
' ...due to unforeseen problems in moving production of Swedish Soft to a new factory, there will be a six month break in supply. Current stocks will be exhausted in a couple of weeks so you may still be able to purchase residual stock from Asda, larger Tesco stores and from Sainsbury's under their 'Free From' range.'

My mum managed to get me a tub from Asda yesterday, but I've yet to try it! I seem to think, from the email, that Sainsbury's Free From may be the same as Swedish Soft???

Sorry about the bad news! The Ice cream is unaffected.
Bye for now
Lin

I picked up a couple of tubs of Swedish Glace in Farm Foods last week for £1.00 a tub. I have previously paid up to £2.50. They had a variety of flavours. Strawberry is nice and so is the Mocha flavour.

 Hi Pam, I tried the Swedish Soft 'cheese' by Winner today and it's delicious!! It's a shame that it's going to be off the market for 6 months. Bye for now Lin

well, i *finally* managed to track down some cheezly - i bought the nacho flavour and i also have a very small very expensive tub of *runs to fridge* Fromsoya by Kallo - it says a milk alternative to soft cheese - a blend od soya oil and soya protein.. this one is with garlic, parlsey and onion - am going to try it on a baked sweet potato (not had one before!) for lunch..so will let you know the verdict!

:)

i've unfortunately got nothing to compare it to as i've not found any other soft cheese yet! and not likely too for the next 6 months as it seems!
