Hi,
thought i'd just say how great it is to find a dairy free discussion site.
I've been dairy free for >15years and have become very good at reading labels :) my 12 year old is also dairy free & has been so since birth.
lucky for us i'm not too bad at baking. It can be a pain having to always carry a snack - bolands fig rolls are the snack of the moment. but it is so much better that than the after results! I hope i can help you with some things and you can help me too..
cheers

Welcome to the site.

I always try to remember to take a snack out with me in case I get delayed. Even the wrong margarine on a roll is enough to make me ill. If I forget the snack I starve as that is better than being ill later.

yeah, I'm similar. I've gotten worse (more sensitive) as I've gotten older, can't go anywhere near chilli, or even really dark chocolate at present. thank goodness for diary free choc buttons (when i can find them) for that choc crave. Although, i had a phase 2 years ago when i couldn't go near choc or caffeine- it lasted for a more than a year. getting better on the choc front tho -theres only so much marzipan one person can eat, and i love marzipan! Still dodgy on the caffeine in tea/coffee tho. its chamomile & other hers for moi. and yes i usually carry a tea bag around as well. Cheap date huh.
