unusually for me i was home from work in time to catch part of tonights itv program - britains best dish.. to my utter amazment there was a young lady on there with a recipe for a bakewell tart that was free of any gluten, eggs and milk... and she won!

cherry bakewells have long been a favourite of mine (no wonder im so damn fat!) and ive searched everywhere for them that i can eat as i refuse to pay the silly prices in tescos for the free from ones. now ive found morrisons own brand are dairy free :)

that is very good news. when I told the Spanish restaurants I ate in on holiday I could not eat gluten they were very helpful, re grilling one dish without the sauce and not charging me for the replacement was one reaction, the reaction to the word gluten (the same in Spanish) was clearer and stronger than it would be here.

Thanks Kiffy that is wonderful. Another receipe to try once I can get to the shops. I love Cherry Bakewells. I do get annoyed that not wanting something in my food costs me more. Especially as I am wheat gluten oat dairy and soya free but my skin is alot better especially as my scabs are finnaly healing up and i am not picking them!! I do miss my chocolate and cakes but it is doing wonders for my weight!!!

Montezumas do a soya a dairy free dark chocolate in fact they do 2 and the peruvian one is the best. Like you I am dairy, gluten, soya free but cant eat chocolate either as I have now narrowed it down to that or gluten which is making my face swell up or drink alcohol.
