Hello.
According to blood tests i'm allergic to dairy & eggs, which make my ezcema worse. Since October I also go red & blotchy in the face & neck. Verrrrrrrry attractive. Is this common? I don't understand why this didn't happen before October.
Once an attractive blonde, now living life in permanent embarrassment. Can't get in under control.
Help.

Hi Sofia,
My mother suffers from a condition called rosacea which makes her cheeks and sometimes whole face red. She does not have food allergies or intolerances but does have eczema, so this may be worth a try. You could try looking on the following website to see whether the symptoms match at all:
International Rosacea Foundation (http://www.internationalrosaceafoundation.org/)
I know I blush a lot and you can get concealers for that from Boots. The one i have is in a green tube and is No7 Rosy Tone Colour Control from Boots and it is Hypo-allergenic and fragrance free. You place a small bit on your face and rub it in thoroughly. You can place this under concealer as well and it blocks the redness. Well it works for me anyway and is invisible when rubbed in totally (It's green before!).
I to have ezcema and now that it is a pain, especially in this weather, so if you want any help please contact me.

My daughter gets rosy cheeks when she has eaten anything with milk in and I get a burning sensation on my face whenever I have vinegar or salad cream in any quantity.
Your problem could well be an allergic reaction.

Is it common to get eczema all over the body? I thought you only get patches of it. The only places that are free from it is my bum & boobs.
Can anyone advise the best cream, I use soft white paraffin at the mo, but it is so greasy and smeels a bit naff. Please take into account my whole body needs covering.
Any other general advise would be most welcome.

It depends on how sensitive your skin is to perfumes etc. My daughter and I have very dry and sensitive skin. We have been advised to use E45 cream which works very well. I have just started using some expensive body butter form the body shop. The body butter has different scents and a little goes a long way.

My son has or had excema all over his body(caused by milk) We've tried loads of creams and have settled for Diprobase cream(emollient) we get it on prescription.

I also suffer from this as I have eczema which is worse on my face.My skin is often very dry and I can get cracks under my eyes as I am also allergic to pollen and my eyes stream! Lovely! I have tried a cream which is quite new on the market and very expensive I am told, but is available on prescription. I was told it costs £50 for 100g so good luck if you want to try it. It is called Elidel and the active ingredient is pimecrolimus. I understand that it is a natural product based on yeast and all I can say is that it dramatically improved my skin very quickly and if you do have problems with eczema then it is worth trying,if you can get it. Good luck all!
