So...I am off work for a few days and although I have some studying to do and an xmas shopping trip to london one day next week before I go back. I really want to do some baking too as I feel like I just don't bake anything new very often. I have found lots of things I want to make, but while I am experimenting I would also like to try making some vegan cheese, I found a really simple recipe but it asks for soya flour and I try not to go overboard on soya in case I end up intolerant to that as well as the dairy...
What I would like to know is, has anybody ever made a vegan cheese before? Is it possible to make it with plain/rice flour rather than soya or will this change the taste and texture in a bad way?

The recipe I have found is just 4oz firm vegan marg
1 heaped tsp of yeast extract
and 4oz soya flour

Any advice would be appreciated as I would very much like to try making my own rather than going and buying the soya based ones?

EDIT:Sorry I should have said but it is hard cheese I am after making rather than runny/soft
