i am going to spain in the summer with my seven year old daughter who has a severe allergy tp dairy and :hammer: nuts resulting in anaphylactic shock. This is the first time we hsave holidayed abroad. we will be self catering - does anyone know translations of ingredients such as casein, lactose whey etc- to look on the backs of packets in supermarket.

You can buy translation cards from Allergy UK (formerly the British Allergy Foundation), they have all the words for milk (or other allergen) and its derivatives so that you are prepared when you are on holiday.
