Hi
I've just been tested positive for wheat and dairy allergies amongst other stuff and came across this site whilst browsing. I'm a big fan of milky drinks, and I'm wondering can anyone help me with what the best diary free substitute will be? thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site.
It is a case of tasting the alternative milks and see which you like best. I used to like the fresh soya milk until I developed a problem with soya. I now use oat milk but this might affect you if you have a problem with gluten, as oats are contaminated and so contain a small amount of gluten.
I did try rice milk in coffee and it was vile :lol2:
Soya milk tends to curdle when you pour into hot coffee, tea etc. I am not sure what happens if you heat it up on its own. Oat milk does not curdle when you pour into hot coffee.

Thanks, just been drinking herbal teas today. The nutrionist told me to try Cara milk so I will probably give it a go. I'd it possible to use all milk with soya in coffee rather than water too?

I have not tried making hot drinks with just heated soya milk so I have no idea what would happen.

If you heat up the soya milk a little first it won't curdle. Soya milk in Tea doesn't curdle at all :]
