Hi, i am lactose intolerant, and am fed up with putting my faith into companies that say their product is dairy free, and my partner is soya intolerant so its a big pain.

SO im in the process of setting a company from home to make dairy free and or soya free sausage rolls, cakes, birthday cakes, and pastries.

Out of interest would anyone be interested in this just wanted some feedback and mainly what YOU miss the most when it comes to food?

Thanks

Hi, I have a milk allergy and at first I probably had a limited diet but now, a year later - I can't say I miss out any anything. I make most of my own meals from scratch and I even bake chocolate cake, cookies, biscuits etc.

I guess the only thing I miss is the convenience of picking up a chocolate bar or trying new chocolate bars... but that's about it - my waistline hasn't missed the chocolate though :)

Good Luck with your new venture,

Good luck - I have multiple intolerences and a very restricted diet indeed and so would not really order anything. I would be interested in a gluten free, dairy free, corn free and low salicylate bread alternative the closest I have found is genius bread which is nice but has corn in it so I cant eat it.

I love cake though I cannot eat one unless they are dairy free so we just have to bake one at home, which would not actually come easy. I would actually be more than happy to have the ability to order one if I can be assured that there would absolutely be no traces of dairy products in them.

I think the problem here would be getting the customer base as people will be wary of ordering from someone who they are not really familiar with.

I make my own cakes, muffins etc all dairy free.

When my daughter comes home I have to bake dairy, wheat, egg and soya free

I make my own cakes too, I have thought about setting up a company before. I think people would be interested but I found when I researched it was the costs involved. You would be competing with supermarkets and what I find the most frustrating is not being able to buy just one cake.

However saying all that, there is a company that sells through ebay and other ways and there is definately a market for it. I wish you a lot of luck in your venture, if they are gluten free I am sure I would be ordering!
