View Full Version : So Good Oat Milk To Discontinue

So Good Oat Drink is about to disappear for good.

I called Tesco and they are not stocking it any more as it is a low-selling product. They are going to get back to me with a more definitive answer in a couple of days but it doesn't sound good. One reason for it being a low-selling product could be that they were always out-of-stock. When it was in stock, I nearly always bought whatever was left on the shelf the most being about 10 cartons.

I also called So Good and they are going to discontinue it because of poor sales. They said Ocado had not purchased any for 3 months.

Being intolerant to dairy and soya, I actually enjoy a cup of tea again with So Good Oat Drink. It is not watery like most milk alternatives. It makes me so mad that supermarkets stop selling things that don't make huge profits. How many semi-skimmed milks are available that all taste the same? Is it too much to ask to make room for one decent oat milk.

If a moderator reads this, is it possible to email all members and if they also will miss this product, get them to request their local supermarket stock it again?

Hubby: allergic to dairy and diet-controlled diabetic
Me: dairy and soya intolerant

Sadly this is not the first oat milk to bite the dust. I use Oatly milk now and Oatly cream. Both of these are stocked by Tesco at the moment.

I too have very despondent to this news as my daughter and i are lactose and diary intolerant and soya... this has been the closest substitute that works for cooking let alone in the tea etc. I have resorted to taking the out of date products off the hands of a healthfood shop so i will be guarding these with my life and will have to now introduce almond milk into my daughters life and ween her off So good...As stated they never think about us small percentage its all about the big bucks!! i am ranting with the rest of you!

Have you tried Oatly milk? This is an oat milk. I buy mine in Tesco but it is in all the large supermarkets.

Also have you seen this new oat milk anywhere?

yes we have but my daughter really doesn't like it. I use the cream version in all the sauces.. its a big sigh as its been a long old process from rice milk which obviously is now on the medical health warning list for kids under 5 through to now having so good going out of business. Might have to revert..;) thanks though.

Thanks. It would be nice to know what it tastes like.

I noticed that the site says the milk is currently only available in Asda only. I have not seen it down here in Dorset yet :(
