I have just bought a Cheese flavour sauce mix from Morrisons. I haven't tried it yet so can't comment on what it is like. It is made by Free & Easy and is Dairy, Gluten and Wheat Free. The ingredients list does contain soya. It comes in a 130g tub and cost £1.29. You just mix 3 - 4 teaspoons with 300ml water (or rice or soya milk) and bring to the boil. It is suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians. I've not seen it anywhere before. Has anyone tried it?

The address on the packaging is

I haven't heard of that one but I will be going to Morrisons tomorrow so I'll have a look in my local. I've never been impressed with instant cheese sauces in the past so I'll look forward to hear what you think of it - it could be good for lasagne.

I don't know if your local Morrisons is the same, but ours tends to stock a dairy free product for a few weeks and then it is never seen again. The items are obviously selling because they are all gone long before the sell by date but they just never refill the shelves. I'd been buying yofu on a weekly basis for about a month but they haven't had any for the last 3 weeks. It makes me so mad!!!

Hi all,

We may be passing near a Morrisons tomorrow so may call in and buy some of this cheese sauce. If I do, will let you know how it tastes.

Hope everyone is well?

Lan.

I got some of this and have been using it for the last couple of weeks. Although it isn't as cheesy as the real thing it is definitely worth trying and isn't bad value for money - I only use a couple of teaspoons in about 1/3 pint of milk so the tub will last quite a while. I recommend mixing it with soya milk rather than water.

I've used it as a pour over sauce and in lasagne but it lost its flavour in the lasagne and was a bit bland, it was ok with cauliflower and new potatoes though. If I remember correctly it is low in fat too, so not bad for any dieters among us.
