Hi,

I'm going to be making a few changes to the site soon. The new site will have features that will make it easy for people to submit articles, product info, news, site links.

I'm just wondering if there are any features that you would like to see added to the site?

Will the site be out of action whilst you do the work? (Hope not).

Hi Pam,

The site will still be up and running while i do the work. I'll make the changes on a seperate web site and add them to here when i've finished.

I'm not normally into advertising on web sites as some of it can be very intrusive, especially pop ups (which I detest), but it might actually be quite useful to advertise dairy free products. It might help you to fund the site or maybe you could ask for dairy free competition prizes in payment (eg chocolate, vouchers, books etc.)

I like to read about new products and taste tests/consumer surveys on dairy free alternatives. Maybe you could run the occasional questionnaire.

Hi Pam,

I am thinking of maybe including some advertisements for some companies on top of the page, but it would be a small banner and definatly not pop up ads. I hate those to. If you want to get rid of popup windows, try the google toolbar or popup cop, both of these programs will stop the annoying popup windows.

I can easily add questionnaires or even partitions to the site. The new site will be a lot more community orientated where members can submit information and news to the site as well as posting on the forums.

@matt, i can get in touch with some of the manufacturers and see if they can give discounts for people who buy stuff through this site. I don't know if they would be interested or not though.

I have though of setting up an online shop where people could by tshirts, df products, etc, which I could easily set up an online shop with ordering and ceditcard processing on the site, but i simple don't have the time or resources to offer a service like that.

When i get the new site into a decent working state i'll post the test website address here so you can take a look and see what you think.
