I visited this site today as Pam had kindly given us the address (see anyone for pizza? topic)

I selected the dairy soya free option and not a biscuit mentioned. I then tried the vegan option and a number of biscuits mentioned including butter puffs! We can't have a dairy free option on its own. Lists only valid for the month of May 2004.

I am still confused about the butter puffs. What do you make of it Astra?

They appeared to have covered every eventuality, there is a 'dairy free' section as well as a 'milk and soya free' section. I'm a bit dubious about the butter puffs too though, surely if they are called 'butter' they must contain butter?

Sometimes I think that these well meaning companies just don't really have a clue, they always put the disclaimer on the bottom of the list to cover themselves, so I suppose it is no skin off their nose if they get it wrong. Just goes to show - you should still check the ingredients list before indulging.

that is a bit weird, i'll grant you. i was hunting through the supermarket vegan lists the other day and butter puffs was mentioned on one of them as vegan as well..

cool cos i really like them hehe :)

does seem a bit weird to call something a butter puff and not put any butter in it tho lol. perhaps it's called that cos most people put butter *on* them?

Hi all,

If you go to the dairy free products list you will find some cookies/biscuits on there, as have added some recently. They are from information I gathered at the Allergy Show.

Hope they are useful and will be adding more over the next couple of weeks.

Take care.

Lan.
