Stir Fried Fish with Ginger
Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 25 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Ingredients:
750g of white fish – cut into chunks
2 medium carrots cut into narrow strips
2 sticks of celery cut into narrow strips
1 cm of ginger peeled and sliced (thinly)
1 tsp of cornflour
1 chicken stock cube
½ cup of water
2 tsp of olive oil
1 tbsp olive oil
Equipment Needed:
Chopping Board
Frying Pan
Small Bowl
Knife
Wooden Spoon
1 table spoon
1 teaspoon
Step 1: Blend the corn flour and the stock cube with water.
Step 2: Heat the oil in a frying pan and over a high heat add the carrots and celery.
Step 3: Remove these from the saucepan and heat some extra oil before adding both the fish and the ginger.
Step 4: Cook until the fish is tender and add the vegetables and the cornflour mixture.
Step 5: Stir continuously until the sauce boils and thickens.
Step 6: Serve with rice or new potatoes and salad
