hi all, just a bit of advice and help please. my daughter 19 months (molly) is a coeliac sufferer. she is therefore gluten free, we are also told she is to remain milk free as she is intolerent to that and also soya products. can anyone suggest desserts that she can have or any practical advice on how to cope with this.
thanks

first some good news ish. i read recently that lots of caeliacs are lactose intolerant due to the lining of the intestines being attacked by the gluten. the result being that the gut is damaged and can't digest milk. it was suggested that once the gut recovers due to the removal of gluten that eventually milk should be open for use again. don't quote me on that as i can't remember the publication i read it in but it does hold some hope for you in the long run.
have you got a list from the doctor of all the stuff he can prescribe for caeliacs? if not get hold of a copy either from him or a nutricianist/deitician. they are able to prescribe loads of stuff which might well include some puddings deserts and so on. see what you can get for free before spending loads in the health food shops.
good luck

How about meringue and fruit one of my favourites. If you make your own you can flavour the mix,as it is only made wiyh egg white and sugar. I like mint flavour dipped in dark chocolate yummmm! They keep for a few weeks too in a tin so you can make a batch and put them away in a tin.
