After cutting out all dairy products, i suspect i'm also intolerant to eggs and chicken. Would i therefore be allergic to turkey also???
Have to go to my husbands works christmas dinner on monday and the only meat available on the menu is turkey! I'm going to ring the pub where it's being held later to check on their gravy etc (got to be tomato and msg free) hopefully they'll allow me to bring my own!
I actually love turkey, but i don't want to test it out at the meal as within seconds of eating something i'm intolerant to i get a really attractive red blotchy face which will spoil my evening!

can't answer the question directly but remember they often butter baste the turkey. and as regards chicken and turkey bought in the shops it's often bulked out with dairy products or basted in butter etc. always check the labels.

Its me again simon

All the people i have made thing for have had eggs in it and also they have had turkey and stuffing and non of them have had any problems. I always give them a call a few days later to make sure that they have not had any problems.

So you should be alright, just ask the chef if he baste in oil or butter and make your own chose

Most chef i deal with baste in vegatable oil or even it`s own juices.

hope this helps

i've been called worse! and quite honestly it's better to assume limited knowledge than have to keep trying to explain little points.
