Hi there,

Just to let you know that I have found a wonderful goats cheese which is more like brie. It is smooth and runny, looks like brie, and it is very very tasty too.

It is called Ragstone Goats Cheese. It is part of the IJ Mellis / or Ian Mellis range which we have here in Glasgow / Edinburgh.

I am not sure if you can do it through mail order - but incase you can the number of the shop near me is 0141 339 8998.

In my case no I can't have goats cheese as my lactose intolerance is sooo bad. I have tasted goats cheese and I thought it was yuk. :D

apparently the lactose is different in goats milk and in the early stages or if your intolerance is not too bad then you can eat it.

tends to be only a stop gap as you're likely to develope a problem with it aswell.

but nothing to stop you from trying it. unless it's a full blown allegy you have in which case i'd not risk it.

Shame, I have a full blown allergy to lactose - but goats cheese is fine with me. I have been lactose intolerant for 5 years now.

Be careful though - as many supermarket goats cheese have lactose in the them. As always read the label...
