HELP PLEASE!!!!
My daughter in studying in London for the next four months.
Are there any lactose free dairy milk like Lactaid or Dairy Ease like we have in the states? What other products can she find in England? It will be a very long four months if she can't find food that doesn't make her sick. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
yes there is a reduced milk i think it's called lactolite and is readily available in the health food shops and some supermarkets i don't use it myself but i'm sure someone else will confirm the name and where to get it from.
there are also soya milk, rice milk, oat milk, almond milk all easily purchased from supermarkets and health food shops. a large range of dairy free cheeses. get your daughter to come online and say what she needs and where roughly she'll be so that if anyone is in that area they can point her to a good health food shop or supermarket. she'll also be able to ask for help/advice when she's over here. or just log on for a chat. don't panic plenty of different products for her.

I use lactolite but it still has about 5% lactose in it. It is available in most supermarkets in the same aisle as long life milk, soya milk etc.
Your daughter might be lucky and have a Jewsih deli nearby in which case they will have plenty of food which does not contain milk. As Matt said we really need to know where in London she will be based and what she likes to eat.
She will be ok after all Matt and I manage to survive here in the south of the country, which does not have the range of shops that London has - or produts for that matter!
