nothing to post here yet but please post here if you intend or are in contact with any firm regarding discounts and freebies for the users. that way we'll not be all contacting the same firms.

let's get busy, you never know what they might offer.

I'm going to try Pure Spreads and Kinnerton this evening. I know that the first has done vouchers and recipe books in the past and if we're lucky we might get some chocolate or an easter egg from K (if not we can at least get some idea of egg stockists).

I'll also try contacting some companies this weekend.

I have quite a few e-mail addresses for companies if either of you are interested.

I have contacted Pure Spreads. They already offer free recipe booklets, quarterly crossword and recipe competitions on their site here http://www.purespreads.com/home.asp but I have also asked if they would be willing to offer anything else for DairyfreeUK members. For the recipe book you need to go to the "contact us" page and tick the box below the message bit.

By the way, their blurb says that they do not use hydrogenated oils - so at least that is good news if the ban does come in.

Edit: I have just e-mailed Gillian at Kinnerton to see if they would like to donate an Easter Egg (http://www.kinnerton.com/nutfree.html) for a competition or similar. I hope to have some replies on Monday. It isn't much to ask for the amount of publicity they get is it?

ISLE OF BUTE

GLUTENFREE DIRECT

i've contacted these two hopefully will have a reply at some point. the longer they take to reply the more likely to be a positive response. to say no takes no time at all!

I've just had an e-mail back from Gillian at Kinnerton with the availability of their eggs but no mention of anything else. I did say that she could also contact Steve or Lan with regard to advertising though so maybe there will be a further response yet. I must say that I was surprised to get a reply on a Sunday morning, I didn't expect anything before monday.

darifreeeurope lets see if they respond.

i'm being tottally open of asking for discounts for members or introductory offers. stating that it will mean that members will order the goods via health food shops. this will increase the companies exposure to the market by making more shops aware of their goods. stress it's a two way street. or if they can't see the benefit for them they'll just ignore the request!

I've had a positive reply from Pure Spreads, they want to speak to Steve and Lan direct but are willing to give some vouchers.

fayrefield. another ticked off the list hopefully start getting some positive responses soon.

steve's going to open a special section so only regular users can get the details of any offers etc. not being nasty, just trying to encourage more people to take part in the website not just browse.

It might encourage all the guests to join up and start posting too.

well i have to say this has been a real damp squib. mh foods said they were thinking about it but nothing since. no one else even bothered to reply so looks like a non starter.

such is life, you don't ask you don't get. maybe one of them will decide to offer something later.

just thought i'd update everyone.:)

Well Pure said they were interested in talking to Steve and Lan, so I don't know if they know of anything. Kinnerton were a lost cause - they get their advertising here anyway because everyone always wants to know about easter eggs. Condel Catering are a possibility, but I suggested speaking to Lan & Steve.
