STAMP COLLECTION® CHOCOLATE BUNNY 100g
Made with 70% organic cocoa solids

The Stamp Collection® Bunny has been given a fresh new look for 2005! Still packed in a clear acetate box, he is now displayed against a vivid background of stripy Spring colours.

The Stamp Collection® Bunny makes a delicious gift or treat for all chocolate lovers this Easter. He is the only chocolate Bunny on the market who can boast to be:

· Dairy-free

· Sucrose-free

· Made with a minimum of 70% cocoa solids

· Organically certified

· Soya-free

· Egg-free

· Non GM

· Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans

· Suitable for Diabetics

· Suitable for some children within the Autistic spectrum

As the Bunny contains no milk products he is ideal for the 5.5 million* people in the UK who have an intolerance to cow’s milk, like Terence Stamp. He is also suitable for people who cannot eat sucrose, as he is sweetened with fructose.

Packaging Design

The new-style packaging was designed in-house by Katie Towers, who says: “We launched the Bunny a couple of years ago and he has always been extremely popular at Easter time with children and adults alike. This year we have wide distribution in Sainsbury’s, Tescos and Waitrose stores, so we decided to give him a new look to refresh his on-shelf image. We chose 5 dazzling “Springtime” colours for the stripy background, and the front text panel is grass green, like the hills and fields where Bunnies live! Our research shows that the fresh new look will appeal to children and also to adult shoppers who are looking for an Easter treat for themselves.”

For Easter 2005 the Bunny will be available from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Tesco, and many independent stores nationwide. The recommended retail price is £3.49.

The Bunny was christened ‘Stamper’ by a young Stamp Collection® fan following a ‘Name the Bunny’ competition in the Stamp Collection® Newsletter, Stamp News. Terence Stamp rigorously tested the various chocolate recipes during the original product development and commented, “This is the kind of homework I can really get my teeth into!”

Hmm I will have to see if it makes it to my local Tesco superstore - not that I want one.

I think my daughter might have to have one of those bunnies this year. Her mummy might like one too :naughty:

just the one? better buy two then have one before just to check. they might not taste as good this year and you wouldn't want to find out on the day!:lol2:

They are expensive if you look at the price of chocolate. I could have three bars of G&B for the price of one bunny. My belly talks.

I am afraid I work like that too - refuse to buy an expensive box of chocs if I can get more choc for money by buying bars. :bleh:

And chocolate in a sale at half price just *has* to be eaten quickly (and then you go and buy some more and pretend you never had the first one!)

That made me laugh!

so you all agree with me that choc eggs and boxes are a con but none of you will make the eggs yourself?? seems a contradiction. maybe i should make them and market them to the others. just the transport issue to overcome. i can get coppers to her but it would be a bit of a trek to pam etc.:lol2:

I know they are a rip off, but my poor little girl will still want one like all her friends and cousins.
So last year was a wash out, but as I recall from Kinnertons at Christmas they said they had interest in dairy free eggs? any news??

Thanks
Lucy

You can definitely buy Kinnerton Bart Simpson or Bang on the Door (Groovy Chick) dairy free easter eggs for £1.99 each at Woolworths. According to Kinnerton they are also available in Sainsburys and Waitrose where they also do a Safer Chocolate Company one for £4.99 (bigger egg - black packaging I believe). Make sure you do get the dairy free ones though as they also do Bart and Bang ones in milk chocolate.

Last year Kinnerton had some sort of slip up and some people suffered an allergic reaction as a result but I'm sure that they will be extra careful this year.

Alternative eggs are Green and Black plain dark chocolate or Maya Gold (usually £2.99 each) but don't buy the one with praline eggs in as they contain milk.

You can also buy dairy free mini eggs from health food shops - they are Whizzers speckled eggs and come in 50g packets (yellow plastic packets) at around 69p.

Dairy free does not mean a cancelled easter bunny this year!

My best friend turned up with a Stamper bunny last night and we visciously ate him all.
He tasted lovely, but I've not had much sleep because I felt really sick after eating him :(
Now we shared him, and he was only 100g so it wasn't a lot of chocolate, so it may just have been a coincidence I felt yuck afterwards, but it has sort of put me off this yummy bunny

Hi Zoe,

It could have been the sugar. I take the lactose intolerance tablets and even I feel sick if I eat too much. Try him again, you know you want to.:drool::drool:

Kind Regards,

Lan

Those stamp collection bunnies aren't that big Matt, a shared one wouldn't go very far (or maybe my chocolate intake limit is higher than most peoples)

I spotted some stamp collection bars in Asda, they had 3 flavours. Can anyone recommend their favourite?

Pam

I've never had those, though I think they might sell them in Tesco. What flavours do they come in?

Haven't seen any stamp collection stuff in Penzance at all!! Although the local health food shop stocks that Booja Booja stuff.

Hi, the Stamp Collection chocolate is in the allergy food section in Asda. They come in orange, mint and plain, I've not tried them yet.

My local large Asda does not have any sort of special diet section. My Tesco Superstore actually has the Stamp bunny and Green and Blacks dark chocolate egg. They don't sell any Stamp bars of chocolate though. We are clearly not allowed to be dairy free in the south.

I've got a choice of Morrisons or Tesco nearby, neither stock any of these products!
My nearest Asda is an hours drive away! :(
Will check out Woolworths tomorrow.
Although I can eat 'normal' chocolate now, I'm very suprised to say I'm finding it too sweet!!! Never thought I would go off chocolate!

matt

you've not gone off chocolate, you've just realised that alot of the stuff that's sold is just brown sugar. go for some of the better purer chocs lindt etc 70% stuff. that's chocolate and isn't as sweet. and according to the scientists very good for you!

yesterday newspapers say it'll stop diabeties! help prevent heart attacks etc etc . it's the flavenoids or something. same as red wine and so on. good to stop coughs aswell! it's the new miracle food and tastes nice. wonders will never cease.:lol2:

I bought some orange flavour Paynes Poppets last week and really enjoyed them. I got them in Superdrug - they also sell the raspberry Ruffle bars.
