View Full Version : After Dinner Mints
Settled down last night with a nice glass of Reserve du Sud and a packet of Marks and Sparks after dinner mints (dairy free) I just thought I would let you all know that they are very minty!! the chocolate was nicer than the after eights but the centre was too strong for me, but they would be great for anyone who prefers a stronger taste. :eat:

Ooooo I love strong mints - always have done which is lucky now that I am lactose intolerant :) as they are the only sweeties I can be sure to find anywhere.
I got some co-op ones the other week - they were only 99p per box but not a patch on reall after eights. The chocolate was thicker but I wouldn't say they were particularly chocolatey. I did manage to eat the whole box in one go though (and felt sick for the rest of the day!). I prefer After Eights to Co-op ones any day. I haven't tried any others yet. My mothers day double length box of After Eights got finished off yesterday so I'll be on the lookout for something new.
Hi all,
Never been fussed on chocolate particularly. A good thing now I am lactose intolerant. I absolutely love mints though. I have the sugar free mints from the health food shop and sugar free polos.:drool::drool:
Lan. :D
Lan, be careful with the sugar free sweets, a lot of them contain artificial sweeteners which can cause wind and diarrhoea if you eat too many (there used to be a warning on the polos packet in very tiny writing).
I've heard such bad stuff about aspartame that I'd rather have the real thing and sod the calories.
Hi Pam.
I only eat them ocassionally and try to limit the amount of sweets I eat. I try to eat sugar free items as I have a high sugar level and there is diabetes in my family.
Kind Regards,
Lan. :D
