Hello! just discovered this site and its wkd. found out so many tips. my dd suddenly developed a dairy allergy about 1 1/2 months ago. she already had hayfever and athsma and shes 17 months now. anyway, as shes at nursery they tend to deal with alot of her diet but we have had trouble trying to find interesting food for her. i bought a bread maker cos the dairy free bread was cheaper that way! plus she gets soya milk from the gp. her allergy symptoms have all gone now that we have eliminated dairy but she is having major sleep probs. she never had them b4. always went to bed at 7pm and woke at 9am. now its hell. anyway, i notice from another forum that soya milk has alot of sugar in, could this be affecting her sleep and if so has anyone got any tips? would be gratefull as me and my partner both work full time and we r both close to exaustion now!! thanx em
Hi Emmilan,
I know that you can get some unsweetened milks, I drink Provamamel and this I find unsweetened. I hate very sweet milk and as it is way too sickly for me and disagrees with me. Looking at the ingredients list on this, I was unable to see any added sugar.
I am unable however to give medical advice, and due to developing any intolerances aged 19, any tips for your daughters sleeping problem.
I do however wish you the best of luck for the future, and hope that other users with children have some useful tips for you.
Kind Regards,
Lan :D

Sorry to hear all this about your little girl its not nice for anyone is it.
least all shops are now stocking more stuff for us all.
There are lots of different milks available..asda do one for 29p I didnt like this one its not sweet which i only like unsweet anyway but tasted like water. Think it was rice milk. You can however make your own, but sainsbburys do a range and i stick to it, its the free from range and comes sweet or unsweet and in 2 sizes. I too have trouble sleeping, maybe now i know why.. I am flat lactose & have SIBS.
ASnyway heres a recipe to make your own rice milk, i haven't tried yet. and can you send me your bread maker recipe, i bought packet mix..£2-99 tesco it was awful greasy and like cake gone wrong lol.
I help in a software store 4 customers requests and at the mo am tryin to fill a cd full of non dairy, mostly 4 mself but hope it will catch on..llet me know if u make this & how it comes out please..
