Parents of children with Allergies now have an easy solution to providing a clear warning to others about the allergy. The potential dangers associated with allergies are well-known, especially peanut, dairy and seafood allergies.

To help families affected by allergies, Name it Labels have now launched the Allergy Alert Pack. Each pack contains 40 personalised self-adhesive stickers stating child’s name and allergy and 3 non-personalised wrist bands.

The self-adhesive stickers, are totally waterproof and ideal for lunch boxes, drink bottles , in-fact anything at all, and could even be used as a temporary basis on clothing for birthday parties. Alternatively use the allergy alert wristbands for day trips and outings.

Priced at £9.95 and available from Name it Labels.
Visit the website at www.nameitlabels.co.uk (http://www.nameitlabels.co.uk).

Also as a bonus for DairyfreeUK members, if you quote the code DA0505 with your order you will recieve a 10% discount.

This is a sample of the labels.

Hi all.

I have to admit these labels are an excellent idea. Maybe they could really start to help children in Schools.

Kind Regards,

Leanne.

I have seen this company at baby shows, they do a very comprhensive range of reusable or single use bands, I haven't used them, but have heard alot of good things about them!

I know that people have been very happy with their wristbands from Identikids, I've known Nadine who runs the business for about 3 years through another site and I've never heard any complaints.

THANK YOU!

This is JUST what I've been looking for :)

I've been looking for something that I'd be happy to wear. I don't wear much jewellery and have not been able to bear the thought of the huge silver or gold affairs that seem to be on offer. So I have just happliy bought myself a nice navy blue band to see how I get on with it, and I may buy some other colours if if suits me well.

This will please my worrying husband when I'm off following my band in Germany and all over the place on my own as he worries because I am often not well due to my problems :(

The bands from IdentiKids look great. I was a bit peterbed by allergy labels as they would have to be worn on the outside of clothing and then any one who saw the labels would instantly know the name of my children. This seems very dangerous. The thing with IdentiKids is that they keep all contact details private until they are needed. I have been on their site late last night and placed an order. I cant wait to see what I have ordered.

Their website also says that they are available in Boots and Mothercare too!

Great site, great idea, great products. I told them on the comments section of their website.

Last night by wrist band arrived from Identikids and I'm really disappointed :(

It is really thick and uncomfortable to wear. The wording ID BAND is printed near the buckle so because my wrist is so small it is totally obscured by the end of the strap when it has gone through the buckle

I'm thinking of getting some of the single use ones printed instead

Thanks for telling us that - what a disappointment. I have very small wrists so I think I will pass on this ID band. If it is designed with children in mind you would expect it to be ok on small wrists.

I bought some of the IdentiKids childrens bands from Mothercare on Saturday. I think they are great. :D

My kids love them. :D

We got the yellow plastic ones for when we take them out and some of the paper ones with the little characters on for when the kids go out with other people like our parents or our brothers and sisters or even friends.

I couldnt take them off my little one, she slept in it.:lol2:

I also thought that the information on the packaging was a good idea as I had never talked to them about what to do if they got lost. It was very informative, made sence and was a good aid for the kids to understand.

Zoe, have you passed your comments back to the site? I'm sure Nadine would prefer to hear about any problems so that she can improve them.

Yes I agree with Pam, you should let them know and see what they say. Let us know

I'd like to make it clear that it was the multi-use ID band that was unsuitable, rather than single use ones.

I contacted them, they said that it was the first time anyone had ever been unhappy in all the thousands that they have sold. He said he could see my problem with the wording being obscured when on a small wrist, and could see with hindsight how printing it on the other end of the band would be a more sensible idea. He also sent me a free pack of the 'I'm allergic to...' kids ones for me to try out. I think these will probably be more suitable for me, although I think I really need a bracelet of some kind instead as a more permanent thing to wear. At least now when I am travelling about I can wear one of these and my husband won't worry so much. I'm going to try them out, and if I like them then I'll get some printed up to my own specifications, which is something they offer on the site (i.e. in dark blue with my own working and maybe even my band's logo... ;) )

At least your complaint has had positive results, well done.

Yes it did.

Anyone reading these posts would think that all we do is complain :o
