View Full Version : Calypso Shots
Thought this was probably the most sensible place to put this.
Calypso (?) shots have milk protein in them. They're little balls of frozen ice lolly type thing and thought it was most likely that kids would be interested in these kind of things, so stuck the warning here. Normal Calypso lollies (orange flavour) are fine, but these shot things for some reason seem to have milk proteins in them.
Hi Claire.
Thanks for that. At least now we can keep an eye out. I don't actually eat any ice lollies mind, I prefer the dairy and wheat free cornettos. Absolutely fantastic and ate one tonight.:drool:
Take care,
Lan. :D:D:D
Thanks - I tend to go for the non-dairy Magnum type things at home, but things like Calypso shots when out and about. So its definitely worth knowing.
Though in Devon there's usually a cider flavoured ice lolly option, which is much nicer than the random 'fruit' flavours.
Nic
or just cider of course!!!:lol2:
mmm...cider
But not if I'm driving!
Especially not the stuff that's so strong they'll only serve it in half pints.:o
I've never had Cider.......Am I missing out here?
Claire,
Well... I think a really good continental lager, or a nice bitter, are probably better overall. But cider (proper cider, not the fizzy stuff they sell in most pubs) is fantastic when you want something a bit fruity, and cooling, and highly alcoholic.
Definitely worth trying (though, from memory, there are only a couple of pubs in Cambridge that sell nice cider).
Stopping now, since horribly off-topic.
Nic
I'm sure we could continue this discussion in another thread, as I agree that this isn't the best place for the discussion especially as its in a thread about kids food....
and the problem with kids and cider is? makes for quiet evenings!!!:lol2:
